under a new sky

As part of a trade over on Helovia, Schwartze asked me to do a picture of her new boy Amalrik - something that would show off his adventurous side in a big landscape! It was a lot of fun to work with those instructions. Tried to have a peaceful feel, like he's just starting out in a new land and is so ready for what it brings

I'm very happy with how this turned out - his tail and the ripples in the water gave me the most trouble but I forced myself not to be lazy and re-do them until I was content and I think it paid off!
